I laughed yesterday as I stepped out of my building on the way to work and saw a senior citizen with one of those pink plastic bags that are ubiquitous throughout Asia on top of her head, to protect her curls from the rain, as she did her morning tai chi exercises.

The taiwanese ladies are so practical! I love it when they put on the long sleeves that they pull out of their bafs with elastic on each arm ens...a true taiwanese lady does not allow the sun to touch her skin!
I enjoy your blog...I'm a Liao, an American woman married to a Taiwanese man. A trip to Taiwan is such a culture shock no matter how many times we make the trip!You are doing great!
